Sri Lanka Quiz

Sri Lanka Quiz asks ten questions drawn from a larger bank, so no two runs are the same. The questions cover the things people actually argue about: which city is really the capital, how many provinces there are, which mountain is the tallest, and the year everyone remembers for the cricket.

Every question is worth a hundred points, plus up to a hundred more depending on how quickly you answer. You have twelve seconds each, and the bar across the top shows what is left. There is no penalty for a wrong answer beyond losing the points, so guessing is always better than letting the clock run out.

After each question the game tells you why the answer is what it is. That part is not decoration. Most people finish knowing two or three things they did not before, which is the actual point of a quiz game.

Answering correctly scores 100 points plus a speed bonus of up to 100 more. A wrong answer or a timeout scores nothing, then the correct answer is shown with a short explanation.
